WebThanks Jagex. My friends and I thought it would be a good idea to get into RS3 due to the lower bond maintenance compared to OS about a month ago. Fast forward to now and bonds are already up 20m, FSW is going to be coming out and Jagex is monetizing the fuck out of MTX. WebMTX comes in several forms. First are keys used in a loot box mechanic called treasure hunter. You can buy keys for it but you get a few keys for free daily which can reward you non-tradable versions of rare goodies, skilling outfit pieces, money, cosmetics, resources, and exp granting items. WebI see a lot of people, particularly OSRS players, say that RS3 is pay-to-win thanks to MTX like Treasure Hunter. I believe that the XP you get from MTX is very little on average, requiring players to spend huge amounts of money to get a decent amount of XP, and therefore is not P2W. What's your belief/argument? Do you feel it's P2W? WebRS3 is a lot easier to level, and people despise that it seems, but it was such a blessing to come back, max my character, and actually get to enjoy the game rather than focusing hours upon hours for a few levels. Also yes, OSRS PvM is so... boring. pointing a brick wall

WebI still prefer the old school system over the current RS3 system though. However, for pking the EOC system was absolutely horrible. The real killer for me in RS3 was the MTX. The game is 100% P2W now and I think that helped short term but long term will kill the game. I quit Runescape 4 years ago now and MTX was the killing point for me. WebUnless they some how allow you to buy a bond on rs3 and activate it for FSW, there’s no way around another paid sub. Secondly the mtx added in, there’s no reason for bonds to be included from the get go as you need membership to start FSW mode so no one is buying a bond for that straight away.

WebRS3’s combat is a much, much easier ability based combat than most MMO’s. OSRS’s combat is unique to any other MMO, while I feel RS3’s is an awkward hybrid of a generic MMO and OSRS.
