For example, Sanyo began developing n-type heterojunction technology (HJT) PV cells in the 1980s. In addition, SunPower has built its interdigitated back contact (IBC) PV cells upon a base of high-purity n-type silicon. Webof this cell are the n-type and p-type polysilicon contact layers. For these layers, we present excellent J0 and implied V oc on textured n-Cz wafers, with best values of < 1 fA/cm 2 and 741 mV for n-type, and 10 fA/cm 2 and 720 mV for p-type polysilicon, which are maintained after firing.
